During the lockdown of 2020, I spent a lot of time playing a video game called Ghost of Tsushima. Set in feudal Japan, GoT inspired many samurai themed drawings that I eventually compiled into a small risograph zine.

It was inspiring to research the history of my Japanese heritage and explore elements such as pattern, texture, and shape in a fresh light.

While stuck inside, I also began teaching myself how to use Blender. I used some of my samurai designs to help practice my new 3D skills. It was a very fun challenge to translate such flat and simple drawings into three dimensions in a way that still retained their original charm.
